After a war that raged for thousands of years, the floating fortress of Windtrust visits the kingdom of Death Mountain in order to sign a peace treaty. Yet the night before this could happen, something goes terribly wrong...
Enemies for so long, neither side trusted the other, and so the daughter of Emperor Gabriel of Windtrust is kidnapped, the perpetrators of this terrible crime, Deathmontainous Dragon riders. Their intentions had been to force Windtrust to surrender using the princess as hostage, convinced of that the other kingdom would surely attack them even after the treaty was signed to claim victory; yet something went wrong, and they were seen. Immediately, the Pegasus riders of Windtrust set off to attack Death Mountain, trying to rescue the princess but failing; the war restarted, and the people's hopes for peace, shattered.
The engine was damaged during the battle, and the floating fortress plummeted from the skies. The reparations sure took a while, this giving Death Mountain just enough time to recover; and in the next skirmish, the Dragon rider's new leader was revealed, the previous one having been killed in the attack: it was the Windtrust princess, Korisen, who had been chosen by the great black dragon as his new master. She had been brainwashed, accepting what she had been told after seeing Gabriel's maddened rage unfold on the kingdom of Death Mountain, massacring hundreds of innocents.
And so the war wages on; dragon versus pegasus, enemies to the death. Neither side is truly good or evil, but only one will be standing at the end...
The final battle starts now! Take wing and Reach For The Skies!
Always hidden by a thick mist, the floating fortress of Windtrust is literally a castle that hovers meters and meters above the ground. Masterpiece of magic and enginery, it looks pretty much like a giant, medieval lander ship with a flat top for the pegasus knights to take off from; yet it is beautifully adorned, having nothing to envy of the castles in the ground.
Enn is a gigantic plateau used by the Windtrust soldiers to train. These who aren't so fond of the high altitudes are also allowed to make temporary houses in here. It has a spectacular view of the valley, but a single slip could lead to certain death...
A series of enormous cracks located at the base of mt. Friz; the larges of which is called Redeldel. Jagged rocks overlay the walls, and the abyss extends towards the bowels of the earth; narrowing more and more until it would be impossible for a dragon or winged horse to open their wings if they fall deep enough. Wild pegasus herds are often seen around here, and the overall harshness of the place makes it an excellent location to test your skills.
A snow-covered mountain. Friz peak is famous by its storms, and its dangers encased within. Seemingly bottomless cracks may be hidden beneath the frost, and many kind of monsters have made their homes on these peaks. The merciless cold can dull a dragon's senses and give the patrolling pegasi the upper hand.
A vast extension of plains. There's a small hill here and there, a tree or two every now and then, and the ground is completely covered by short grass that turns yellow or emerald green depending on the season. Chacerale has witnessed countless battles, and it would not be at all rare to find a corpse or two buried shallowly beneath the earth.
Chaem, a small village which has suffered more than what any village should with the war. It's army was incapable of standing front to the Dragon Knights, and so half of the village is on ruins. What wasn't burned down was stolen, and yet some villagers still remain with hopes of rebuilding Chaem, stone by stone.
Being one of the largest forests known by man, the enchanted forest of Ziard is a dazzlingly beautiful sight. Yet every rose has its thorns, and Ziard's beauty hides its countless perils... many have lost their way in these woods and never returned.
A gigantic, ruthless desert located at the outskirts of civilization. With only sand and stone as far as the eye can see, this is one of the harshest places to be; the heat of the day is totally unbearable, and the nights here are cold enough to cover everything with a layer of frost.
Death Mountain is an inactive volcano which exploded on its last eruption and has been inactive ever since. The violent explosion left a giant hole near the base of it, which resembles a mouth, and three smaller ones that look like eyes. The outside of it has been left pretty much untouched, but the inside has been fixed like a great castle.
An intricate maze of caves and tunnels that stretches beneath Death Mountain. These foul-smelling caverns have been adapted as liars for the dragons. Nobody has explored the lowest caves yet, and rumors are that monsters still lurk into the deepest levels...
The City of Rorr is the town that surrounds Death Mountain; it is at its time surrounded by a mighty rampart, lined with archers. The houses here are mainly made of sand and rock... people seems to avoid the usage of wood due to the presence of their fire breathing companions, the dragons. In the past, the streets of Rorr were bustling with activity... but now not so much; still, there's enough people here so it could not be considered a ghost town.
A narrow canyon. There's a long winding road with a tall rocky cliff to each side here, which used to connect the Death Mountain Kingdom with the rest of the world; but now trade has become rarer. This pass is heavily guarded by Dragon Knights, who will attack anyone who ventures here without permission.
